HLED 371 Injury and Violence Prevention


Injury, both intentional and unintentional, is a leading cause of death and disability in the United States. Students will be introduced to different types of injury, focusing  on risk and protective factors, personal and environmental influences, and best practice prevention strategies. This course is intended for students in the undergraduate Public Health Major. Methods will include lecture, individual and small group activities, computer applications, and assigned projects.
