NSCI 401 Advanced Neuroscience This is a combined lecture-laboratory course. Lectures incorporate in-class activities, and the laboratory includes student-driven experiments. The cellular basis of neurobiology will be addressed, and topics covered will include the cellular and molecular functions of the nervous system, neurotransmitter synthesis, regular function, and anatomy of circuits and their role in behavior.

Prerequisites - NSCI 301 with a “C” or higher , PSY 205 with a “C” or higher , BIO 301 with a “C” or higher , and ((CHEM 123 with a “C” or higher and CHEM 124 with a “C” or higher ) or (CHEM 270 with a “C” or higher )) Restriction by Major - Neuroscience Interdisciplinary [BS] Restriction by Class - Junior, Senior, or Second Bachelor standing
Additional Information - Students not pursuing the Neuroscience Interdisciplinary [BS] may request permission to enroll, enrollment is not guaranteed. Preference is given to students pursuing the Neuroscience Interdisciplinary [BS].
