AD2D 320 2D Methods and Materials


This course investigates how the materials and methods used to construct two-dimensional artworks can generate, embody, and communicate ideas. Students will experiment with a variety of techniques, materials, and supports beyond those used in beginning studio courses and become acquainted with a range of artists for whom process and materials are primary concerns. This course is a studio-based workshop supplemented with lectures, discussions, reading material, and demonstrations.
