HIST 207 Introduction to Jewish Studies Jewish Studies is a broad, interdisciplinary field that examines Jews and their cultures from various scholarly perspectives. This course introduces students to Jewish Studies as an academic discipline. Students will explore significant texts, including the contexts in which they were produced and developments in Jewish history, and will engage a range of scholarly approaches to studying the Jewish people and religion. This course requires no background knowledge about Jews or Judaism.
