To prepare professionals with:

- tools for ethical decision-making, ethical corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility;
- knowledge of international and cross-cultural issues in a globally integrated business environment;
- core business knowledge and skills;
- strategic and innovative thinking skills.
Applicants must be graduates of regionally accredited colleges and universities and have achieved grades and GMAT scores indicating an aptitude for advanced study in business. International applicants must submit official TOEFL scores.
Applicants must have:
- Graduate admissions application with application fee.
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended*, with a cumulative or last-half GPA of 2.75.
- A well written Personal Statement indicating background and purpose for applying.
- An up-to-date resume.
- A score of 450 or greater in the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), with at least 20 in the verbal section and 24 in the quantitative, OR an overall score of 297 or greater in the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), including scores of at least 143 in verbal reasoning and 140 in quantitative reasoning. The GMAT/GRE requirement will be waived, by email request to the Graduate Programs Office (email@example.com), for applicants who meet any one of the following four criteria:
- Have earned an AACSB-accredited Bachelor of Business Administration degree (minimum 60 credits)., with a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an average GPA of 3.0 in statistics, accounting and finance courses.
- Have earned any other bachelor degree from a regionally accredited university with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Have at least five years of managerial experience as determined by MBA curriculum committee (e.g., experience with the responsibility of managing both people and budget).
- Have a masters or terminal degree from universities with an AACSB accredited college/school of business (degrees from any other institutions need to be approved by the MBA curriculum committee).
- Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL score of 80 overall, with at least 20 in reading, writing, listening and speaking sections; or IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.5 in reading, listening, and speaking; and at least 6.0 in writing.
International Transcripts - Post-secondary transcripts from a non-U.S. institution must be submitted directly to one of four approved evaluation services for a detailed, course by course report. See International Admission Checklist for additional information. Applicants should allow 2-6 weeks for the evaluation to be completed.
Degree Requirements: 54 hours
The MBA program is innovative, applied and global with an emphasis on corporate ethics. The program requires 54 credit hours: 18 hours of foundation courses; 18 hours of Core/Cross Functional courses; and 18 hours of electives (6 hours restricted electives and 12 hours of general electives). MBA candidates may also select 1 of 14 areas of specialization (the specialization courses are taken in lieu of the general elective courses).
A maximum of six credit hours from a previous Master’s degree may be transferred to the core MBA program.
Foundation: 18 hours
Students must complete course work in each of the following foundation areas or have acceptable undergraduate equivalents, in which case the course may be waived.
MBA Core Skills/Cross Functional Courses: 18 hours
Restricted Electives: 6 hours
Choose one course from each of the following areas. Please keep in mind that courses listed below may also be required for your specialization, in this case, please select an alternate elective.
Elective Courses for General M.B.A.: 12 hours
Students choosing the general MBA will select four advisor-approved electives from any 500 or 600-level courses offered within the College of Business. At least one of the four courses must be a 600-level course, and no more than two Independent Studies (699) or Special Topics (592/681) courses may be taken.
MBA with Specialization in an Area: 12-15 hours
Specializations may be pursued in lieu of the Elective Courses for General MBA. Specializations are offered in the following fourteen areas: Business Analytics, E-Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Internal Auditing, International Business, Management, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Sport Management, and Supply Chain Management
The area of specialization is noted on the student’s transcript, but not on the diploma. Course substitutions must be approved by department heads. These specialization options have program codes associated with them that differ from the general MBA. Therefore students wishing to change from one area to another (e.g., general MBA to MBA in supply chain management or vice versa) must submit a new graduate admissions application indicating “program transfer” so that a new program of study can be issued.
