German is the most spoken language in Europe. It is the language of well-known and influential composers, poets, psychologists, scientists, and inventors. The German Language and Literature program prepares you to be first and foremost linguistically and culturally proficient. Representative literary texts analyzed against the backdrop of their socio-historical context, contemporary criticism, and cultural movements of the time are at the core of the program. Dedicated faculty holistically mentor our students and ensure academic success and humanistic growth.
