BIO 417 Conservation Biology This course uses lectures, discussion, and off-campus field work to introduce foundational concepts in Conservation Biology. Topics include key threats to biodiversity loss (e.g., habitat fragmentation, over-harvesting, invasive species), methods to assess and ameliorate loss, and practical or ethical impediments to conservation efforts.
